Critical location step

The pin must mark the exact physical meeting point.

Do not leave the pin at the city center, the middle of a park, a street address, or an approximate area. People will use this pin to find the group in real life.

  1. Use “Find city or address” to reach the general area.
  2. Zoom in closely enough to see the actual park entrance, plaza corner, parking area, trail entrance, or exact meeting spot.
  3. Click the exact spot or drag the pin directly onto it.
  4. Open the pin in Google Maps and compare both maps before confirming.

Start by finding the city or address. Then place the pin on the exact physical meeting point.

When are you committing to host this meetup?
A meetup is a commitment, not just a time you might skate.

A Skate Your City meetup is an organized gathering that other skaters can reasonably make plans around, with a host taking responsibility for making it happen. People may travel specifically to attend.

Only publish a meetup if you genuinely intend to be there every scheduled time, or will arrange a reliable replacement host. Do not list days you might skate, your usual skating routine, or spontaneous sessions as meetups.

If you just want people to know you're skating at a skatepark or street spot, use the spot's live check-in system instead. Meetups may happen no more than once a week per listing.
